Maggie Chiang is a Taiwanese American illustrator based in California. A traveller at heart, in possession of exceptional talent in art- to express her encounters with nature.
A BFA graduate from the Art Center College of Design, Chiang illustrates California- that’s the theme of her art works. Adventure and exploration, self-exploration, and getting close to the nature in the beautiful California. The sea, the mountains, the woods, and her brilliant imagination- the recipe for these beautiful illustrations.
One fact becomes explicit- that she portrays her experience, her relationship with the nature in the illustrations- when we see the female subject in a lot of pieces. Coming to the medium of her choice, she uses muted watercolors, giving a soft touch to the compositions.
